  		1st match of the year, lose 5-0 to a team that we can beat them easily.

Firstly, I look like a dummy GK today. Many apologies.

Secondly,
Many Question Marks on my head.

Cannot sleep...

1) What happen to the team today?
2) Why is there no communication on the field?
3) Are we laying offside trap too high up?
4) When I was sub off, I realise that when opponent have a Goal Kick, our team did not push back. Is that a planned tactic? What if opponent is capable of taking long goal kick if it is a planned tactic?
5) Why most people always have this mentality that, my job is done after passing the ball? Instead of pass the ball and make urself another option for the person u had pass the ball to.

no doubt last week's game we lost to a better team, we had more passing and more communication....

today...everyone was a bit lost....ME INCLUDED and maybe the cause of the first few goals!!!was feeling a bit jaded after my nite shift and cant really run/kick thats why i ask for a "time out".... Blush

  		but as you say veteran, we always think of not getting injured. Its not the matter of commitment, but one had to protect himself from injuries... Injured, job also affected if injury is serious..

U never know how serious can 1 incident caused..

Sorry for any misleading to affect the team's morale. My point for starting the thread is to indicate that it is time for the team to think through what mistakes did we made on the last match. And how are we able to improve on our next game?

Winning and losing is bit and parcel of the game. The point is did we lose graciously or with a 50% effort display.

If we went in and we display good soccer with commitment in wanting every ball to our possession, i guess even if we lose its ok.

I don really care about the score but rather the display we give to others. If we tackle each ball, and complete it with a pass to our FELLOW shark then we see some difference in our game.

However if after every hard work that an individual put out and to see the ball been pass back to opponents or giving a very poor standard pass to a fellow mate, it is really disappointing cos it reflects our team play as a whole.

Most of all, we don get the same players for every game. I don even know where to start if i don get the same players week in and out.

Next, your ball skills MUST be look into by your own cos your lack of stamina, lack of vision, lack of tackles, lack of confidence, lack of voice, lack of practise would all contribute to the factor in whether we win or lose.

We use to train a whole lot but i am quite put back with the fact that left to your own devices, we don do more. So the challenge in bringing up the name of the AB SHARKS lies upon you. I am your skipper to steer you towards the general direction in winning anything we take part but teh personal responsibility lies upon you in whether you wanna improve or not.

So if anyone gonna ask questions, why not do it with the team before we start the game or after we finish the game? Wouldn't that be better?

Next game i am looking at our defensive play again. We will play defensive properly first then we talk about attacking. If we cant square away our defence play then we cant get away with a win in 1 goal lead game. I want us to play well defensively then we talk about the rest.
