Dare I ask the question

Is Kylian Mbappe showing signs of being finished?
At age 25?

Did Real Madrid just sign...a finished player?

Fair enough lah the nose injury
I'll give him that

But I suspect might decline soon

Cos he started too early

Rooney started at 16 or 17 with Everton
peaked a bit early
and also played many many games.

Mbappe same leh
started 18
won WC with France
after many games...keep working that body running top speed
One day soon the body started giving you the middle finger
and that's the start of the end...

Like that why people keep using the National team thing
to use as an argument against Messi ar last time?
Before Messi won his first major trophy with Argentina - the Copa America.
And then the World Cup

If people want to do this imo
then use the same yardstick
whether it's Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe, Haaland, Vini Jr or whoever

Now very hard to make an argument for Vini Jr
5 Goals in 33 Matches for Brazil
0 Major Trophies
And people want to compare this guy to Neymar
LOL
come on

Nonsense?

We have seen many times in the past of players who started very early in their career
become "finished" as early as age 26 or 27.
Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen, Fernando Torres and so on.

Notice most of this type of players are reliant on what?
Pace. Once the body starts wearing thin because of wear and tear,
they are finished.
Owen was one example, Torres another.
Mbappe is pretty much reliant on his pace also.
So what kind of outcome are we expecting when we look at history?
Hmmm...

not started

Many players play top class football at club level but can't perform at international level.
