Due to the influx of applications for 'Gold Awards', this criteria will apply with immediate effect and will be used as a guide for future recommendations. Please read and observe as non-compliance will result in nomination void. 


1. Members are NOT allowed to nominate themselves. 
2. Members are ONLY eligible for promotion if they attain 5000 or more posts. 
3. Members are ONLY allowed to nominate those who are SAME or LOWER than their own ranks. 
4. Members are ONLY eligible for the next higher promotion after 1 year from last promotion date. 
5. Any Recommendations from members who are less than 1 year from last joined date will be void. 
6. Any Recommendations from members who are still in yellow probation will be void. 
7. Only Gold/Flashing Gold/Platinum/Diamond award holders can recommend members for Gold/Flashing Gold/AB Tipster awards. Please note that Point No.3 applies to this. 
8. Only Administrators/Moderators/Chat Admins/Chat OPs are eligible to recommend members for Promotion to Administrative roles as well as Diamond/Platinum awards. These promotions comes with Mr AB's endorsements. 


Refer to the Examples below: 

AB Tipster nomination - Diamond, Platinum, Flashing Gold and Gold members only. 
Flashing Gold nomination - Diamond, Platinum and Flashing Gold members only. 
Gold nomination - Diamond, Platinum, Flashing Gold and Gold members only. 

Meeting the criteria qualifies the member for higher promotion, however awards are given base on discretion and with Mr AB's endorsements. 

Gold/Flashing Gold/Platinum/Diamond awards may be given to members who are recognize for their contributions, efforts or services rendered to the betterment of Asianbookie.com and its forum.

Obviously we will take into account all factors before promoting to Gold. If you have been warned before, your chances are lesser. However, criteria 1 and 2 may be able to help you.

Yes, unfortunately with the amount of traffic we get, we cannot really monitor quality postings, but do note we do take note of members who post quality and will award them Gold (Flashing) if deemed suitable

Sorry to be a nitpicker, but I have generally observed a couple of Gold members who have not even hit 5000 postings. Seriously, for a old man like me who constantly strive to attract your good viewer counts and yet struggle to hit 5000 posts means I'll be forever stuck behind the rat race?

I'd like to hear your stand.

Why a need to practise double standards then? Isn't 'discretion' a easy and lame way to excuse onself form all rulings? What's the point of governing and then claim - "Oh, but how I wanna interprete /promote / raise /sentence at my discretion". Reminds me of Animal Farm. Which leaves us all perplex and wondering how to strive and contribute constructively and prominently.

(my personal view)

It's all about the sharing tips center and all kind of dicussion about soccer.(tips, information, history etc)
The more viewer, the more chance for business unit to advertise their product here especially in the front page, this is also why the AsianBookie can continue to service and improve.

To chase your target become gold member and Administrator is the good direction but not too over hope, if will be automative be a Gold member if your sharing infor/tips is good and 'chun'coz we have many admin and moderator over here.

Lastly, forgive me if i say anything wrong, good luck to all of you.

The purpose of AB is to share views about soccer matches as well as enjoy our stay leisure-wise in Gossip Corner. And of course if your tread constantly attracts lots of viewers, this advertises the forum to people out there world-wide and thats the ultimate aim of the forum iteself. This people would in turn be promoted due to their share of commitment to Ab i suppose..

Gold members introduction i think is therefore very effective in this forum as those who had their fair share of contribution to the forums would be recongnized and rewarded accordingly. AB would surely become a well - respected forum world-wide for all soccer lovers if the forums continue to strive this way..

just my 2 cents worth... Cheers to all admins and members

Meeting 2 the criteria is only part of the promotion requirement. It's still subject to the webmaster's decision. Anyway, all promotion put on hold until the new season starts.

Never see top 10 Tipsters awarded? You mean the competition? They change in every season.

call me pong will do. goodyear, the final decision
lies with mr.ab himself. he decides if a member will be promoted or not.
a reccomendation by a fellow gold member will surely boost your chance.
but i rather u go for it by your own means,
honestly speaking, its not dat hard to actually contribute in AB
and shine among the rest, saty out of trouble, the yellows espeacially.
it would be a good edge if u are well liked by others
and have high hit rates on your threads.
be as wat your nicks states - GOOD

I would like to apply for 'Gold Member' status in AB forum. It would be an icing on the cake if my wish is awarded as i'm just 4mths away from getting my 5yrs of service. I hv some friends of mine hv been promoted to Gold Member after i introduce them to AB ex. NICK3333 and so on. I hope admin/moderater to put me into consideration or perhaps some of 'Gold Members' or higher ranks can give me some recommendation for me. I totally dun hv a guideline at all even where to get the application form or whatsoever, therefore this is just a simple thought from me. Thanks for hearing me out.

Yes,There is no fixed amount on the donation but please bear in mind that not after every donation will get a medal..

AB Charity Medal(Asianbookie Samaritan) will only be issue to members who take part 10 or more counts of charity event..

AB Charity Avatar will issue to members who had participated in 1 or more charity events

its indeed a big leap for AB to have make way for charity...

if i remember correctly, years ago many members have suggested charity run as part of AB, i was 1 of them...
