Hi all AB gamblers,

I have been following this forum for at least 6 years now but only started an account a couple of months back. I have been gambling since I was 18 years old , starting with an innocent bet of SGD5 for HT/FT and like most lucky first timers , won the bet of SGD55. How I wish I did not win that bet.

Fast forward to 10 years since then, I have gambled on almost anything, from football, 4D, Toto , horse betting and of course casinos. I no longer keep track of the amount of my losses but I can imagine is at least 40,000SGD accumulative. I never really went into debt , because when I lose to my last penny , I will stop for a few months and when I recover , I would continue in my folly and the whole vicious cycle simply repeats. I tried several methods by closing my online betting account, banning myself from the local casinos. It worked for a while but the itch for gambling especially when boredom hits always comes.

I have quite a cushy job with a good annual compensation package, and I travel very frequently around the region to see clients. Because of that, I will visit foreign casinos as you can imagine in Macau , Manila , Genting and Las Vegas. I won some but lost big most of the time (big to me at my age and income is somewhat 5000 over a few days)

The last straw came when I lost 15,000SGD in a single day when I was in one of the foreign casino. I was at a loss then and it drained of all my savings once again. It is just so stupid when you work hard and earn more than your peers but at the end of the day, "donating" those hard earned money to the casino or bookies.

The reason why I am writing this on the forum is to share this horrific nightmare addiction of mine and to deter anyone from going down the same road . And hopefully to myself, a warning and deterrence when I feel like gambling again, I look back at this thread of mine.

When you don't gameble , you don't lose , but you win.

I am sorry to hear about you losses. What Believe_Me says is incorrect. There are always ways out, even though it can be very difficult to realize. I am sure you can do though it if you bring up the will and discipline! In you need further help you should seek professional assistance. I can give you some links for this in case needed. Or hook for the pleasure of it. But never ever step into casino. Casino is where one will not think properly. The more u lose, the higher stake u will raise Dig for more money until u dry up. Also request all (online) casino accounts to be locked and speak to the local casinos to not allow you to play again.

This way you should even be making a small constant profit on Baccarat and you could kick the casinos in the crotch. You would have to control your emotions though. telling self to be discipline is nothing because when we are inside it is easier said than done
what can be improved is begin the FIGHT with end target with mind plus necessary awareness in mind
it still does not guarantee strict discipline but so far it works to me

hi bro, we all know we need to be discipline. saying b discipline is easier said than done. to be specific,i would suggest we fight with an initial amount as testing water. if lose all initial amount say 1k, then go out for food or massage.
when our own strategy does not work, we should leave the table asap.
i lost 2k and changed another 2k at other table. still lost all.very fast due to each game i bet 500. too fast and a little impatient. then i woke up from setback.went out to eat something. then went in again.changed 1.5k. slowly recouped and finally won +2.4k from my last fight.
